The Boy in the Dress by David Walliams has won the Tower Hamlets Book Award 2010
The shortlist for the Tower Hamlets Book Award 2010 was:

- Gareth P Jones – The Thornthwaite Inheritance
- Sally Nicholls – Season of Secrets

Aniqa Yasmin Rahman from Bangabandhu Primary School won the competition to design a logo for the competition, Tasnim Basit from Blue Gate Fields Junior School won the draw a scene competition and Bangabandhu Primary won the prize for the best presentation of their favourite book at the award finale at Idea Store Whitechapel on Friday 26th November.
Pete Johnson and Sally Nicholls, two of the authors on the shortlist, and Fiona Macdonald of Walker Books and were judges.
