Schools Library Services and Global Learning London (formerly HEC Global Learning Centre) Privacy Notice

Data Controller and Purpose

The information [your email address and the year group of the class you teach] you provide will be used by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets Schools Library Services and Global Learning London to provide you with services in accordance with the terms of the service level agreement the service has with your school.

Photographs of pupils are used in accordance with the terms of consent provided by the pupil’s parent(s)/ carer(s) to the relevant school.

We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and if you have any concerns the Council’s Data Protection Officer can be contacted on DPO@towerhamlets.gov.uk

Condition For Processing Personal Data

It is necessary for us to process your personal data (name, school/ organisation, email address) under GDPR Article 6(1)(B) Performance of a contract. in order to comply with the terms of the service level agreement entered into with your school or given to us in order for the school/organisation to participate in events and Global Learning projects.

A delay in you providing the information requested may result in a delay in providing appropriate services.

How long do we keep your information?

We will hold your information for as long as your school continues to subscribe to the Schools Library Services and Global Learning London/ HEC Global Learning Centre and has no debt outstanding, or for the duration of the Global Learning Project.   The service level agreement with your school is renewed annually.

We may also anonymise some personal data you provide to us to ensure that you cannot be identified and use this for statistical analysis of data to allow us to effectively target and plan the provision of services.

Information sharing

The Schools Library Services and Global Learning London/ HEC Global Learning Centre may share your personal information may be shared with internal departments or with external partners and agencies involved in delivering services/projects or providing resources on our behalf.
